Submissions

 We are looking for original reviews of recently published fantasy works including magazine issues.

- The reviewer must have no material connection to the published work, though we will allow you to review works for which you received a review copy.

-No A. I. Not only can A. I. not be used in your written work, we will not publish reviews of books where authors have used AI for their content or (primarily) for their cover.

- The review should be of a fantasy work that was published within the last five years. However, you can make the case for a lesser-known work that was published outside of that time frame.

- We are looking for reviews of fantasy works from smaller publishers and from newer authors. We are especially interested in reviews of fantasy and sword and sorcery magazine issues such as Swords and Sorceries, Savage Realms Monthly, and The Literary Fantasy Magazine. Reviews of books from New York Times bestselling authors will likely be rejected.

- We do not review erotica or books with pornographic content. All sex and violence must fall below the R-rating. If you are unsure, review something else.

- We are definitely interested in less popular sub-genres such as Weird West or Sword and Planet.

- Please send your submissions of 250-1000 words as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf attachment to admin@lowerlightbooks.com with "Review Submission" in the subject line. Include your byline.

- We do not pay for reviews.

- Please include a rating for the book at the end of your review. Our rating system is:
I do not like it.
It was okay.
I like it.
I really like it.
I love it.

- Please include a link to where the work can be purchased.

- Negative reviews are welcome; however, avoid insults and explain what you dislike.
